Yes, You Are in Gaza and Gaza Is Being Destroyed!

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the opening program of Mawlid al-Nabi Week. Devoting most of his speech to Gaza, Erdoğan directed very harsh criticism at “Israel’s” Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Erdoğan said, “Wherever there is a Muslim in the world, our hearts and minds are there,” and added, “That is why we are now in Gaza. We cannot remain spectators to the uprising of this tyrant, this infidel called Netanyahu, in Palestine right now.” (NTV, 03/09/2025)

Comment:

While the occupation and genocide in Gaza, continuing for 23 months, have peaked with the use of the weapon of starvation devastating the people as well as the trial of new massacre methods called “robot bombs”; the exploitative and hypocritical politics of the rulers of Muslim lands—who face the wrath of their own peoples for abandoning Gaza—have also reached the peak of peaks.

These rulers, who have lost not only their Muslim identity but even their sense of humanity, continue their overt and covert relations with “Israel” without interruption, while on the other hand they go so far as to claim they are helping Gaza. The brazenness has reached such a level that regimes like Egypt, which keeps the Rafah Crossing closed and condemns Gaza to hunger and death, and Jordan, which ranks first in supplying the Jewish army with fruits and vegetables, boast about helping Gaza.

And here is President Erdoğan, implying under the applause of so-called scholars and teachers before him, that Turkey is secretly aiding Gaza by saying, “We are in Gaza right now.” They neither fear Allah nor feel shame before the Ummah.

Palestinian journalist Muhammad Abu Taqiya, unable to endure even such a great atrocity being turned into political exploitation, said to Erdoğan, “Enough for Allah’s sake!” and wrote the following lines:

“Yes, you are in Gaza! That is why, as we see in the videos, the mujahideen in Gaza are fighting with the most advanced and most effective weapons!

Yes, you are in Gaza… That is why the free people of the world have to reach Gaza from tens of thousands of kilometers away, from the West, by sea; whereas Gaza is only 11 hours away from your seas!

No city in Gaza has been razed to the ground live and before your eyes! Because you are there. In Gaza, 19,000 children have not been brutally killed live! Because you are in Gaza, no one has been able to do this! In Gaza, 10,000 women have not been mercilessly wiped out live! Never, as long as you are there, no one can do such a thing!

The shortage of medical supplies and medicine in Gaza is not 80%! You are delivering everything! In Gaza, 48,000 children have not been left orphaned! Before the eyes of the world! Hospitals in Gaza are performing the most critical operations and providing health services in the best way possible! With your presence, of course, all this happens!

Hundreds of children and adults in Gaza have not died of hunger! They cannot die! Hundreds of people have not lost their lives for a piece of bread! Because you are Gazan!

And did you not say that ‘Al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line for us’? That is why in recent days, the occupation forces, Zionist groups, and ministers have not been able to storm Al-Aqsa in large numbers!

Now please, abandon such statements that have no correspondence even in your conscience, let alone in Gaza! Abandon them so that the respect and love left for you do not vanish either! Saying, ‘I couldn’t do it, I spoke too big at the time. Come, hold my hand, let us wipe away this shame together,’ will bring you no harm. Enough for Allah’s sake!”

To these lines, let us add the following:

Yes, you are in Gaza… With your oil, with your steel, with your merchant ships, with countless known and unknown products, you are in Gaza.

You are in Gaza with your signature on the New York Declaration, which defined October 7 as a “terrorist attack,” demanded that the mujahideen lay down arms and surrender, and envisaged leaving the administration of Gaza to the traitorous Mahmoud Abbas team in exchange for an imaginary Palestinian statelet without an army or sovereignty.

You are in Gaza with your mediation role in Azerbaijan aimed at normalizing “Israel” with the Syrian administration, thereby preventing the jihad of Syrian Muslims against the Jews.

Yes, you are in Gaza… And Gaza is being destroyed while you are there.

What remains is the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about those who exceed all bounds:

«إِنَّ مِمَّا أَدْرَكَ النَّاسُ مِنْ كَلَامِ النُّبُوَّةِ إِذَا لَمْ تَسْتَحْيِ فَاصْنَعْ مَا شِئْتَ»

“Indeed, one of the sayings that people have reached from the first prophethood is: If you feel no shame, then do whatever you wish.” (Bukhari, Adab, 78).
