Two Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir were Remanded for Distributing Da’wah Leaflets

On 20/05/2016 two Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir / Malaysia (HTM) were arrested by the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) while distributing the weekly leaflet, Sautun Nahdhah. Ustaz Darukhutni Zainal Abidin, 49, and Mohamad Alhafiq Mohamad Khoiruddin, 25, were arrested outside of Masjid Nurul Iman, Serendah, at about 2.05 pm, was taken to the Serendah Police Station for interrogation.

Referring to the article by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, published in Harian Metro on Saturday 14/05/2016 entitled “Deviant Teaching Threats National Security” where he listed Hizb ut Tahrir Malaysia (HTM) as one of the deviant groups, carrying out activities such as flash mob, street da’wah, campaign and the demonstration rejecting the coming of Obama to Malaysia.
